Livingstone Foundation International College (LFIC) recently celebrated the achievements and future prospects of its 6th Semester students with a Parting Social Programme. Themed ‘Soar High’, the event took place at the LFI Auditorium on 26 April 2024, marking a significant milestone for the outgoing students.
The ceremony opened with Principal Dr. Tainla Mar highlighting the importance of the gathering, which served as both a farewell and a celebration of the students’ hard work and success. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation and pride as the students prepared to transition to the next phase of their lives.

Special Guest of Honour, Medoneizo Pfutsure, founder of Bambusa Express and CEO of Jomefoods Private Limited, delivered an inspiring speech. Drawing from his personal journey, Pfutsure shared insights on overcoming challenges and using failures as stepping stones. His message to the Naga youths was clear: pursue your dreams with unwavering determination and resilience.
Dr. Andrew Ahoto, Chairman of LFIC, also addressed the audience, emphasising the values of humility and camaraderie. His words aimed to fortify the graduating class with the moral compass necessary to navigate the complexities of the real world.

A poignant moment of the evening was the musical tribute by 4th-semester students, which added a layer of emotional depth to the event. The performances were heartfelt, symbolising the bond and collective memories shared among the students.
The faculty’s commitment to student success was reiterated by Imolangla, the Dean of Students. She expressed pride in the students’ accomplishments and optimism for their future roles as leaders. The speeches by Kato N Zhimomi, President of the Student Council, and Tiaienla Amri, a representative of the outgoing class, echoed themes of unity and gratitude, resonating deeply with both peers and professors.
Highlighting the ceremony was the awarding of the ‘Student of the Year 2024 Award’ to Tiaienla Amri, who was recognised for her exemplary achievements at LFIC. This accolade served as a testament to her dedication and impact within the college community.

The event concluded with a prayer from Dr. Tainla Mar, blessing the students as they embark on their new journeys. The programme, chaired by Novi Swu, Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science, was a fitting tribute to the graduates, filled with encouragement and reflective of the college’s nurturing environment.
As the evening drew to a close, the ‘Soar High’ theme resonated with the attendees, reminding the students that their education at LFIC was not just an academic journey but a launchpad into greater heights.
