Jawan Director Atlee Kumar

Atlee Kumar, a prominent director in both Kollywood and Bollywood, has been making headlines not only for his successful projects but also for his alleged change in attitude towards his old friends. According to well-known journalist R.S. Anthanan, Atlee’s recent success, particularly with his film “Jawan” starring Shah Rukh Khan, which collected 1000 crore rupees at the box office, has led to a shift in his behaviour.

Anthanan recently commented on Atlee’s alleged change in attitude, stating,

“Jawan, directed by Atlee, was a huge success and collected 1000 crore rupees. Because of that, Atlee doesn’t like to see his old friends. That’s because everyone calls him Sir now. But when he meets his friends, they call him by their name. That’s why they don’t meet.”

This revelation has sparked discussions about the impact of success on personal relationships and how fame can alter one’s behaviour towards those who have been a part of their journey.

Atlee’s journey in the film industry began as an assistant director to the renowned filmmaker Shankar. After working on films like “Nandaan,” Atlee directed his first feature film, “Raja Rani,” which was a mega hit and garnered widespread attention for his unique storytelling style.

Following the success of “Raja Rani,” Atlee directed several successful films, including “Theri,” “Mersal,” and “Bigil,” with actor Vijay. “Mersal” in particular collected an impressive 1000 crore rupees at the box office.

In addition to directing, Atlee has also ventured into production in the Hindi film industry, with a film starring Keerthy Suresh currently in the works.

Anthanan’s comments about Atlee’s alleged change in attitude towards his old friends have raised questions about the impact of success on personal relationships. As individuals rise to fame and their social circles expand, it can be challenging to maintain the same level of connection with those who have been a part of their journey from the beginning.

The pressure to maintain a certain image or status may lead some to distance themselves from their roots, causing strain on long-standing friendships. It is essential for those in the public eye to remain grounded and appreciate the people who have supported them throughout their careers.
