The Department of English at MGM College celebrated National Book Lovers’ Day 2024 on the 9th of August in the college auditorium at 9:45 a.m. The event featured students from the department reading lines from their favourite books, including selections from the canon of English literature by authors such as Charlotte Brontë, William Shakespeare, William Wordsworth, and Louisa May Alcott, as well as contemporary writers like Jojo Moyes, Colleen Hoover, and Jericho Brown.
The event was hosted by Mr. Namwangbo of the 3rd Semester. The introductory note was delivered by Miss Ahikali I. Jakha, Assistant Professor, Department of English. The event concluded with a book exchange among students and faculty members. Guests from other departments, including both faculty and students, also attended the event.
