A significant step towards boosting Nagaland’s tourism sector was taken recently with the conduct of a one-day Tourism Awareness Training. Organized by the Nagaland Tourism Department in collaboration with the Nagaland Tourism Association, the event took place at Zunheboto’s Deputy Commissioner’s Conference hall on August 23, 2024.
Representatives from various local communities and conservation networks attended the training. The diverse group aimed to leverage this opportunity to enhance their understanding of tourism and hospitality.
The primary objective of the training was to change the approach of local communities towards tourism. By doing so, it aimed to create more job opportunities in rural areas.
