MGM College commemorated Teacher’s Day with a grand celebration in the college auditorium on 5th September. The event honoured the invaluable contributions of educators and was marked by expressions of gratitude and admiration.
Dr R.K. Behera, Acting Principal, delivered a heartfelt speech reflecting on the significance of Teacher’s Day, observed nationwide to honour educators’ dedication and sacrifices. He emphasised the rewarding nature of teaching, noting that teachers’ success is reflected in their students’ achievements.
“Our teachers are the guiding lights who illuminate our paths, not only through academic knowledge but also through life lessons. They inspire us to dream big, work hard, and strive for excellence,” Dr Behera stated.

Father Giju George, Administrator, graced the occasion with blessings and words of encouragement, expressing deep appreciation for the teachers’ efforts in shaping future generations.
The event, hosted by Miss Yelem from the 1st Semester and Mr Wangting from the 5th Semester, featured a musical performance by special guests “The 20’s Band,” along with Mr Puloka K. Ayemi and Mr Niuka Awomi, which captivated the audience.
Students also participated enthusiastically, showcasing their talents as part of the celebrations. The programme concluded with applause as the entire MGM College community united to express gratitude for the teachers’ unwavering dedication.
