The Lotha Youth Hoho (LYH) is set to stage a public rally on September 2, 2024, in Wokha Town, Police Point. This rally aims to condemn the brutal physical assault and attempt to murder of Pastor Rhanlamo Kikon from Yanpha Baptist Church. The event also seeks to address issues of unabated illegal taxations, harassments, intimidation, and death threats faced by common people.
The public rally will serve as a call for action against any anti-social elements in all forms and contents. The LYH has invited ten members from every Village Council under Wokha District, Wokha Town Colony Council members, Colony Eloe Hoho members, Colony Youth Organization, inter-denomination church organizations, business community, and student communities under Wokha District to attend the rally positively. Participants are also encouraged to wear traditional attire.
The rally will commence at 10:00 am and is expected to draw significant attention from the community. The LYH has requested travelers passing through Wokha Town to cooperate and bear any inconvenience during this time.
