Nagaland Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (NBOCWWB) orchestrated a special registration drive for labourers in Longkhim-Chare on 4 September 2024. The Town Hall in Longkhim buzzed with activity as local workers gathered to participate in this pivotal event aimed at enhancing their welfare.
The drive, a beacon of hope for many, saw Sethrongkyu Sangtam, Advisor for IT and Communication, Economics and Statistics, and Evolution, as the special guest. Sangtam’s presence lent gravitas to the occasion, as he shed light on the myriad projects, schemes, and policies implemented by both State and Central governments for public benefit.
In his address, Sangtam expressed concern over the public’s lacklustre response to these initiatives. “Many are not seizing these golden opportunities,” he remarked, urging attendees to be more proactive. He reassured the gathering that the concerned department stands ready to assist at any time, emphasising the importance of capitalising on available benefits.
