To enhance healthcare delivery in Nagaland, the Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS), the National Health Mission (NHM), and the USAID-PRERANA project have collaborated to conduct an integrated training session for the staff of “CiTY BARN” and “Health on Bike.” This initiative aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the staff in providing Family Planning and Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) services.
The training session, held on August 21-22, 2024, was a joint effort between NSACS and NHM. Dr. Akuo Sorhie, Mission Director of NHM, and Dr. Ahu Sekhose, Project Director of NSACS, inaugurated the event in the presence of Dr. Bernice, Joint Director of TI, NSACS, and representatives from USAID India and PRERANA. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery in Nagaland.
The training focused on equipping staff with the necessary skills to provide comprehensive family planning commodities and SRH information. This initiative is part of the newly launched program ‘CiTY BARN’ in four districts and the ‘Health on Bike’ initiative across eight districts of Nagaland. The goal is to ensure broader outreach and accessibility of these essential health services.
