Governor’s Awards for Arts, Music, and Literature Honoured in Kohima

The ‘At Home’ cum Governor’s Award for distinction in Arts, Music, and Literature was held at Dr. Imkongliba Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima on August 15, 2024. Three individuals—Temjen Aier and Throngkiuba Yimchungru in Arts, and N.K. Naga in Music—and one society, Lidi Kro-u Society in Music, received the award. The Governor highlighted the significance of Independence Day and urged citizens to uphold democratic values and respect heroes who have enriched the nation. He emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage through arts and literature. The awards aim to nurture and promote Nagaland’s unique cultural identity.
