The culmination programme of the State-funded “Skill Training for Rural Women through the Mobile Skill Morung” was held at Wozhuro Range, Wokha district, on August 17. The programme, conducted by the Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, aimed to empower rural women with practical skills. Secretary Meyase emphasized that the programme addressed unique accessibility challenges faced by women in the region, enabling them to participate despite family obligations and mobility issues. Twenty-five women from six villages received training and were provided with basic toolkits. The programme has already trained 100 women in tailoring and will train another 100 in banking in the next phase.
