On Nagaland’s 78th Independence Day, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio awarded the Governor’s Gold Medal and Governor’s Commendation Certificate to various officers and staff for their dedication and contributions. The ceremony took place at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza in Kohima. Dr. Sentitula, IFS, DFO Mokokchung, received the Governor’s Gold Medal announced on Republic Day 2024. Police Medal for meritorious service and Governor’s Gold Medal were also announced. Awardees included Bendangwati Ao, Sheta Lohe, Takonungba, Khriezotuonuo Theunuo, The Nagaland Madrigal Singers, Alongia Aler, Khenpa, Mimi Kevichusa Ezung, Senilo Magh, B. Akala, Asela Seth Sangtam, Lansothung Lotha, and Manba Phom.
