The Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS), the apex tribal body of the Chang community, successfully concluded a donation drive initiated on 9th August 2024 to aid families affected by landslides in Tuensang Town. Contributions came from various organisations, including the Eastern Nagaland Public Organisation and individual well-wishers.
Donations were distributed to sector presidents in areas severely impacted by the landslides, which caused significant damage to homes and infrastructure due to heavy rainfall since April. Over 378 residential structures were affected, displacing approximately 768 individuals. Relief efforts included temporary shelter, food, medical aid, and trauma counselling. The CKS expressed gratitude to all participants in the donation drive.
