The Ayush Wing under the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare (DH&FW) in Nagaland conducted a series of geriatric health camps from 10th to 17th August 2024, covering 12 districts through Ayush Health and Wellness Centres (AHWC). The campaign aimed to promote ‘LIVE HEALTHY, AGE HEALTHLY’ by providing free medical examinations, treatment, consultations, and medicines. Additionally, senior citizens were taught basic fitness and exercise regimes to encourage a healthy lifestyle. The National State Ayush Mission, supported by the Ministry of Ayush, oversees this initiative to improve the quality of life for elderly people through health awareness and medical aid. Officials Dr. T Bendangtula and Dr. Seyiekhrieto John are overseeing the campaign.
