The Angami Women Organisation (AWO) hosted the Krutamiapfü Kethezie Kehou (Thanksgiving Program) at RCEMPA, Jotsoma. Neithono R. Sothu, AWO President, announced plans for future seminars on women’s issues to foster community awareness and dialogue. Thejao Vihienuo, President of the Angami Public Organisation, praised AWO’s efforts in enhancing community welfare. Speakers emphasized preserving ancestral practices, promoting the mother tongue, and traditional attire. Concerns were raised about HIV/AIDS prevalence and language decline. The event highlighted cultural and social responsibilities of Angami women. The new AWO executives for 2024-26 were announced, including Neithono R. Sothu as President.
